On ebay there is a 1971 Damask red MK2 Morris 1800, near Towcester Northants. Its starting bid says £2000, but the seller states take no notice, just make an offer. Last Saturday, I went to see this car as its very close to where I live. I couldn't see much of it as its surrounded by ancient engineering stuff and
general tat, and crammed in next to a chrome bumper MGB, in a similar forlorn state. It's covered in muck, but I could scrape the rear screen and see what appeared to be a very good black or dark blue interior. The rear wheel arches are frilly, but inner arches felt solid, as did the rear of the cills and rear scuttle. The car appears complete and was last used in 1983! Obviously, it's suspension and tyres are flat. It's owned by an elderly lady and she has asked her neighbour to get what he can for the cars As he wants the building for his own business. It's very difficult to see around it but if anyone wants a serious look Call Simon on 07495 490187.
All I can say it might be restorable or a doner for boot bonnet, doors etc.. I am told it has its documents
Happy hunting
Jeff.
