Hi All, As a few of you will know i bought my first Wolseley a couple of weeks ago and having never had a Wolseley/Crab of any type before have always been a Rover man it's all new ground to me. My Crab is interior is in very good condition except for the seats as the foam is dissolving which i have read they all do!! so i am looking for a set of blue Vinyl/Leatherette ones?? After getting my Crab i noticed straight away it had an electrical problem but with help and advice from members on here i have now discovered it turns out to be a dud alternator. So now to the main resto bits as seen in the pics it's the osf corner which is my main problem/concern as i have never worked on one of these ie are there any repair panels available for this section? The rest of the bodywork ie the n/s rear end and bonnet of the car are excellent so to sum up it needs a new osf corner section a front valance work to the bottom of both osf doors wing o/s and some welding to the os sill any help or advice on any of this very very much appreciated

My advise would be to talk to Penguin about the welding. With the two land crab restorations I have seen him do I am sure he will have come across everything you can think of that would need welding.

Body panels come up from time to time though you have to be patient. The BL spares day at Peterborough in August is also a good place to look though the sellers know what's rare and will price accordingly. I've still got the two sill panels, see the Sills thread in the sales and wanted. Depending on geography they may suit you, or you may be better welding up what's already there.

Hi Chas. There are no repair sections. The Club has no panels and there is nothing in production at the moment. Hadrian were making outer sills of a useable standard until a few years ago. Even these are becoming hard to find now. As mentioned in the PM, Ray House has full panels - wing and valance - at a cost. Honeybourne Mouldings do a glass fibre valance for £80. The front cross member is just a box section. I repaired mine; again, I think Ray House can supply complete replacements if you'd rather go that way. Or - you could have a look at the Austin Resto thread - HERE - Page 8. The replacement wing section which I fitted needed a strip laying across the bottom to complete the full depth of the wing. Fiddly, but not particularly difficult once I got the card template right. Chris.

What about Earlpart? Their 2016 catalogue still shows quite a number of parts but do they have stock? I have mentioned before that before the panels all disappear it may be worthwhile seeing if they could be 3D scanned so that they could be fabricated / printed in the future should the technology advance sufficiently to make it viable. Anyone have experience in this area of costs etc? David Hi Chas. There are no repair sections. The Club has no panels and there is nothing in production at the moment. . Chris.
