Personally I'd go for red on the wheels but it needs to be colour matched perfectly to the side trims. Or maybe have someone do a body colour or red coachline on wheels? I've noticed too that the rear quarterlights and a cracked window or open vent provides surprisingly good ventilation. Don't know if you've done or thought of doing a ram air/cold air intake, but you'll need to change the needle to at least a "KW" and maybe something richer with your engine. I can write up a parts list if you are interested. You will probably have to muck around a bit to make it work because my one designed for the SC engine.
Really nice looking car. I tried fitting the sd1 alloys I have but looks like they're a 6" fitting unfortunately. I don't think they'll fit.

Hi - thanks for the feedback - I think you've nailed it, body colour and red coachline. As you may have seen, she's currently up for sale - purely because I fancy a change - this is the longest I've held onto a classic! Cheers Andrew

But it also wouldn't really be fair leaving it out in a car park. Especially not around here where the favoured parking technique is pin the hyundai onto the beemer.. Although the highlight yesterday was the Audi driver who went diagonal across a roundabout onto the opposite lane to avoid the puddle! Straight into oncoming traffic because he didn't want to get his precious reichwagen damp *sigh* It almost makes you cry

In other news BMW have announced a new performance model - the S or "Sanatospeed" - comes with extra large print dials, radar controlled cruise control that automatically sets itself into the actual speed limit and pedals fitted with the Revitive system - with a standard fit walking stick rack (Bavarian Money Wasters brand walking sticks sold separately) - an automatic voice & display reminder system with such gems as "do not reverse on a motorway roundabout when you missed your junction"
Automatic GPS controlled indicators are a no cost option..(two flashes is better than nothing)
Apparently 82% of drivers loathe BMW drivers - I've no idea why..

Trust I'm still ok to post whilst car is on consignment? Did lovely run the other week - charity do in aid of bowel cancer. Run started up near Guildford so an hour and a bit away and wended its way back and forth across the North and South Downs, ending at Arundel castle - which again is an hour and a bit away from home. Well thought out route and some nice people and cars. I do struggle with seeing most cars from the '80's and '90's as "classics" though - but that's just me! Retrieved the old girl (car) from her hibernation at the dealers as am off round Northern Europe in early Jan en famille again in her. Car a bit lumpy - suspect it's just plugs as it'd been moved around on full choke. Winter tyres on, will potter round in her for a bit and just check she's happy before the off. Cheers A

Possibly just the fuel has gone a bit stale worth topping up and giving it a good blast before getting the tools out. I guess the dealer hasn't actually purchased your car as you are taking it on holiday.

Slightly soppy question - on the front seat of the car - should the for and aft adjustment lever be on the left or right hand side of the seat? Am putting old seats back in car for a while as am doing less proper rallying and more touring type stuff so comfort more important than lateral support! Cheers A
